Chesty Puller Young Marines has been a unit for 17 years previously called Ravenna Young Marines.We have currently finished training our 36th Recruit Platoon.
The Chesty Puller Young Marines are under the Command of Ronald L. Pownall.He also is the Commanding Officer of the Ohio Regiment. Commander Pownall has been with the Young Marine Program for 13 years.3 years as a young marine and 11 as a registered adult staff member
Commander Pownall is also a member of the Chesty Puller Detachment of the Marine Corps League
The Chesty Puller Unit consists of 12 volunteer registered adult staff members and 44 young marines
The Chesty Puller Young Marines meetings are every Tuesday from 6:30pm to 9:00 pm. The meeting are held at the Reserve Center- 800 Dan Street, Akron Ohio.Do Not contact the Reserve Center
