Chesty Puller Young Marines
has been a unit for 18 years previously called Ravenna Young Marines. The unit started October 31 1990. We have currently finished training our 38th Recruit Platoon.
The Chesty Puller Young Marines are under the Command of Ronald L. Pownall. He also is the Commanding Officer of the Ohio Regiment. Commander Pownall has been with the Young Marine Program for 17 years. 3 years as a Young Marine and 14 as a registered adult staff leader. 8 years as the Commanding Officer.
The Unit meetings are every Tuesday from 6:30 PM till 9:00 PM
The meetings are held at The Akron Reserve Center 800 Dan Street Akron Ohio. Please DO Not Contact the Reserve Center

Registration Fees
To Register your Recruit $60.00 Due 1st night training
Monthly Dues: $10.00 1st Tuesday of every month or February 1 $75.00 for the year
Uniform Cost: Due 2nd Week of training $65.00 uniform consists of trousers, blouse, boots unit tshirt after graduation
National issues: guidebook, belt,bootbands,cover and national red tshirt After graduation from recruit training
Recruits will wear a clean plain crew neck red tshirt and blue jeans with shirt tucked in and a belt to all meetings until uniforms are issued.
